Submarine, Michigan Troy, MI, Thursday, 22 September 2011 8:49pm

I made one last stop in Chicago before continuing on: The Museum of Science and Industry. I spent most of my (very brief) visit in the submarine exhibit. They have a WW2 German submarine (captured during the war) that you can tour through and look at all of the old dials and pipes. I poked around a few of the other exhibits as well, but didn't have time to do the coal mine tour.

Both Indiana and Michigan have poorly placed "Welcome" signs on I-90. I was unable to safely stop in front of them, so my photo collection will be incomplete.

I spent the evening with an old family friend, Padma, and her family in Troy, Michigan.

Greene's Hamburgers Lifto (Anonymously) Monday, 26 September 2011 2:19pm

If you are going to be anywhere near Farmington Hills, MI, might I suggest Greene's Hamburgers?

It's a classic burger stand, and last I heard Farmington's only 5-star restaurant.

I suggest a cheeseburger and onion rings. Also juke box.
