Getting There - Aneel's Travelogue

The Longest Bridge New Orleans, LA, Saturday, 13 October 2012 11:18pm

After a stop for an oyster po-boy, I rode across the longest bridge in the world (contested). Apart from being the longest bridge in the world, it's not really that interesting. Lake Pontchartrain is big enough that there's not much to see for most of the length of the bridge.

I returned to New Orleans via the Bayou Sauvage National Wildlife Refuge, which was a bit more scenic.

Somewhere along the way, I picked up a nail in my rear tire. Of course, I discovered this after it was too late to get it repaired at a shop on Saturday, and most of the shops are closed on Sunday and Monday. I'm going to stick around here a little longer, rather than going to Alabama tomorrow as planned, and see what I can do to fix it.
