Now that the weather is nice(ish), I've headed back to ride some of the scenic roads I skipped in my haste to get south of DC. I think I made the right choice, since today was sunny, if cool. I was happy that Snowy Mountain Road wasn't actually snowy (there was snow by the side of the road, though. They got six inches here on Saturday and it's not completely melted yet).
The roads nearest Blacksburg were fun and twisty, heading up over the mountains. They became wider, more sweeping curves on the other side, but stayed fun. The scenery was great: autumn forests and countryside.
