Today I rode up to visit a friend in upstate Connecticut. I'd meant to visit her on the way south, but I'd had a cold coming on. Unfortunately, it was raining fairly hard throughout the day, but on the plus side, that gave me extra incentive to stop at a motorcycle shop and get a better pair of waterproof gloves.
The ride up was very pretty even in the rain, and it was fun to catch up with Katie, who I've known for more than twenty years, but haven't seen more than a couple times in the last ten.
