Getting There - Aneel's Travelogue

Last day on land Sanur, Bali, Indonesia, Wednesday, 29 June 2011 9:00pm

The gang's all here and we're set to be picked up by the crew of the boat at 9 am tomorrow. I expect to be out of contact for the next 12 days or so.

I swam in the ocean for a bit in the afternoon. Well, waded. The tide was out and the water wasn't really deep enough to swim properly. The water is a really nice temperature, though.

Sanur, while less oppressively touristy than Kuta, still has a lot of aggressive salespeople. I'm going to leave some things at the hotel here, since I won't need them on the boat, so I went out to buy a bag to put it in. There was a small market where someone started yelling "Hello! What are you looking for?" before I even got into the market, and kept yelling until I left. Not the the friendly-sounding calling out that you often get here, but full-on yelling. I bought a bag somewhere else.
