I think I saw more other tourists in a morning in Kuta than I did the whole time I was on Java. I ended up spending a while walking on the beach, declining offers of transport. I wonder if I would have gotten quite so many if I hadn't been wearing my backpack.
After looking at a few intricately-carved temples, I had an early lunch in a quiet garden cafe down one of the alleys and then caught a cab to the airport. The guys with the plastic luggage-wrapping machine let me use their powerstrip to charge my devices as I waited for my flight to be start checking in.
I'm stamped out of Indonesia....
