Snorkeling Kailua-Kona, HI, Friday, 18 August 2006 4:15am

A relatively lazy day. Some of the party went to the City of Refuge after breakfast to do some snorkeling. I was still tired and decided to nap and snorkel in the bay right next to our hotel instead. It turns out to be a good site. It's a little shallow and you have to be careful about where you're kicking, but there are lots of fish. Charlotte found a green sea turtle, so we followed it around for a while.

Dinner was at a Japanese place south of Kailua in Honalo. We'd hoped for sushi (I want more poke), but it turned out that it was mostly tempura. It was good, though, and the service was the best we've had so far. Nobody's food order was lost!
