We hit the road at a reasonable hour today after a camp breakfast of oatmeal. The campsite was ridiculously gorgeous this morning, with butterflies flitting to and fro around the creek, so we were in no hurry to leave it.
We spent the rest of the day driving across Utah. We paused for lunch at a mexican restaurant in Delta, and pulled off at three viewing areas along I-70 for three amazing, very different views of the local geology.
There have been intermittent thundershowers in Moab since afternoon, so we took the opportunity to run a few errands, rather than trying to see more of the local rocks. Hopefully the weather will be better tomorrow morning.
