Getting There - Aneel's Travelogue

We've been on the go a lot the past two days. The ferry crossing from Cozumel to Playa del Carmen went smoothly, which was a relief. When Bo and Heidi crossed the other way, the water was so rough that they handed out motion sickness bags before boarding. This time, the water was almost glassily smooth.

Heidi picked up a rental car in PdC and drove us down to Tulum, where we had a series of problems with hotel reservations, and a series of tasty meals. We've spent a couple of days lounging in hammocks reading books, wading in the ocean (there's a bit too much wave action to properly swim here), hiking around Mayan ruins, and this afternoon we went snorkeling in a cenote.

It's been a short, but fun trip.
